My mom and I took Emma to Rapid City on the 13th. Santa was at the mall and so was Phil Baker who sings children songs on PBS, giving a free concert. We had a great time but what Emma loved most was the make overs. A few weeks ago a radio station had contest that people wrote in about why they should win a makeover. They had the reveal at the mall and Emma couldn't believe seeing the before pictures and then the results. She exclaimed "It is like they made them new people!" I had to laugh at her though when we were coming out of Hobby Lobby and it was dark. There was a car pulled up to the curb and she said "that isn't our car" I said "No that is a hybird" She asked what a hybird was so I told her that you plug them in and they run on electricity rather then gas. I said "They are green cars" She looked at it and said "It doesn't look so green in the dark!" She kept us laughing all day.

November 14 While shopping in Gymboree, Emma sat and watched the cartoons on the TV. Afterwards she said "I watched cartoons with a little girl and boy." Then she stopped and said "Ohhh no! My mommy is going to be really mad!" I asked why and she repied "Because Mommy told me to stay away from boys!"

While watching the Make over reveals at the mall yesterday, Emma really hooted and hollered for them all.. until one lady's husband came out and on bent knee asked his wife to marry him again. Emma said "gross" Then out came a minister and performed the marriage right then. At this Emma covered both eyes with her hands and said "I am NOT going to watch this!

Last night she wanted to paint her wooden "Crack nucker" that she got at Hobby Lobby. I told her we had to take off her clothes and put her paint shirt on first. I was busy and told her to have Grandpa help her. She looked at me and said "Grandpa can't help! He has a penis and can't see me naked"

Watching Toy Story 3, there was a preview of Santa's buddy. She was excited to see that the dog was magic and a friend to santa, but she had to explain it to me "Grandma, that isn't the real santa, it is just a movie." I said "oh where is the real santa?" She said "Well today he was at the mall!"

Telling me why she thought she needed a power wheel barbie car, she explained that she could drive it over to her friends house to play and that she could drive it to preschool and she could drive it to go shopping!

November 19, 2010 Emma sitting in the back seat of Grandpa's pickup said "What's this up and down thingy?" I couldn't see what she was pointing to but had to laugh when grandpa said "That is a window crank, you turn it to make the window go up and down!"

She was just telling me a story about when it was her first birthday and she was two she thought there was a vampire...lol

November 20, 2010 "I wish I could be Shaggy's girlfriend" was what Emma told me. I said "oh I thought you liked Freddie" she replied "I changed my mind, Freddie is a little weird!"

November 12, 2010 Emmaisims

Sept. 27 Emma decided she doesn't like being 4. She wants to be carried and I told her that she is 4 now and has to walk..lol. When Brianna asked her when she would start walking and not needing to be carried she said when she turned 4 years old. that was last week when 4 still seemed far off. I was just holding her to her word.

She got a pregnant Caring Corners doll for her birthday. Tonight she opened it up to play with it and as soon as she got it opened she ripped the clothes off it. The baby bump was built in the clothes so she exclaimed "Oh She doesn't have a fat tummy!" Now I am sure she will think every pregnant woman has a baby in her clothes rather then the belly.

Oct. 1 Brianna, Emma and I went to Upton to Jordan's grave and stopped by my mother in laws. I was chasing Emma back to the bathroom with her giggling all the way there. When she sat on the potty she said "I can't go grandma, my brain is just too full!"

Emma and Brianna hit a deer so Kevin went out to get them and the car. All is ok but Emma is very excited telling me "See I didn't want to hit the deer and that is why I wanted to stay here with you!" She told me all about it showing me how she was sitting and how the deer came out and boom, the car hit her... along with sound effects.

October 7 Emma is my girl for sure. When we were going to all the car dealerships she got pretty tired of it pretty fast and told me "Grandma, I am tired of looking at cars, can't we go to the mall please?"

October 9th Playing "go fish" or as Emma calls it "gold fish" Emma won the first, I won the second and Emma won the third game. She told us "I want to just play with Grandpa now, cuz Grandma Cheats!" :-O I do NOT!! lol.

October 13 When Brianna was buying the Tahoe, the car saleman gave us all a pen. Emma looked at hers and asked him "Is this pen breakable?" He looked at her funny and said "no, it is pretty durable" It took her all of 5 minutes to have the pen taken apart into so many pieces I have no idea how to put it together again this mor...ning. This let me know she wasn't asking for reinsurance but to know if there was a challenge!

Today at Clairs at the mall, I was putting tiaras on Emma for her to see herself in the mirror with. She looked at herself then up and me with fingers laying on both cheeks and sighed and said "I am waiting for my True Love!" What a card she is..lol

October 16 Walking with Emma to the park yesterday she was telling me how when she grows up she is going to be a princess and go shopping all by herself, like when she is 5 or 6. I said "you need to be older then that" she said "Ok, I will wait until I am big like you, but not old, young like my mommy"

Oct 26 Emma was telling me about their new house saying "Fran (the builder) Sclews everything up, he sclewd up the walls, he sclewd up the steps, he sclewd up everything!" Later she wanted to watch a cartoon while eating dinner and the satillite didn't work in the kitchen. I told her that perhaps Grandpa had to unhook it when building the garage. She answered "oh Grandpa is sclewing things up like Fran!" Yes I laughed!

Oct 30 Only Brianna's child would be playing with the bride barbie, stick a baby up the dress and then tell the groom during the wedding "Oh NO.. Call the doctor!"

Took Emma over to Moorcoft to go to Trick or Treat Street with Cassie. Took her through the spook house and that wasn't such a good idea. It scared her pretty good and she cried so i took her out of it. She said "I thought I was going to be dead!" Thought we had her prepared for it but she wasn't ready for the big headless man grabbing my shoulder.

November 6, Emma said "Let's go spy on Grandpa! We can dress up like GIRLS!"

November 8 On the way to church tonight, Emma informed me "grandma, you know, I never been married before" I laughed and said "Ya, I kind of had that idea"

November 9 Emma asked her Grandma Marla if their cat, Beastly, was a boy or a girl. Marla told her a boy and Emma asked "then why doesn't he have peanuts?" Marla told her that they got him fixed so he can't make kittens. Emma then asked "but what if he finds a girlfriend and falls in love?"

Happy 4th Birthday to my little granddaughter Emmalyne! Today is finally your birthday..lol. Yesterday she told her grandpa "Today is my birthday" He said "well it your birthday party day but your birthday is tomorrow" She said "But it IS tomorrow!" Saturday we keep telling her, her party was tomorrow...lol
