"Brianna, Emma and I went to Upton to Jordan's grave and stopped by my mother in laws. I was chasing Emma back to the bathroom with her giggling all the way there. When she sat on the potty she said "I can't go grandma, my brain is just too full!""
Emma and Brianna hit a deer so Kevin went out to get them and the car. All is ok but Emma is very excited telling me "See I didn't want to hit the deer and that is why I wanted to stay here with you!" She told me all about it showing me how she was sitting and how the deer came out and boom, the car hit her... along with sound effects."

"When Brianna was buying the Tahoe, the car salesman gave us all a pen. Emma looked at hers and asked him "Is this pen breakable?" He looked at her funny and said "no, it is pretty durable" It took her all of 5 minutes to have the pen taken apart into so many pieces I have no idea how to put it together again this morning. This let me know she wasn't asking for reinsurance but to know if there was a challenge!"

Later she wanted to watch a cartoon while eating dinner and the satillite didn't work in the kitchen. I told her that perhaps Grandpa had to unhook it when building the garage. She answered "oh Grandpa is sclewing things up like Fran!" Yes I laughed!"

It scared her pretty good and she cried so i took her out of it. She said "I thought I was going to be dead!" We found out why when we got close to Gillette and the white out conditions. Cassie went back home with Franks neice and her family... Brianna and Emma and I stayed and got snowed in..lol"

Night before last Brianna was trying to get Emma to come for her bath and PJs and Emma wasn't listening. After a few times calling her to come, Emma finally replied "I can't come right now... I am with Grandma Marla eating sh*t!"

Coming back from my mother's today Emma told me " Let's pretend that your car is a Limo." I said "ok" She in her best southern voice exclaimed "In this car, I feel so fantsy I could just cry!" Now that is what you call a great imagination, taking a 15 year old car that went through 3 kids and 3 grandkids eating Ice cream cones in it and still be able to imagine it as a Limo!
Going to see my new great neice born on the 7th, Emma tells me "I'm allergic to babies" Sean isn't, he loved his new little cousin and didn't want to give her back when he was helping hold her. He even shocked Shelby and aunt Pam when he exclaimed "Baby!"
§ Eating an ice cream cone on the way home, Sean had a bit of trouble. Emma said "you should look at Sean" I looked in the mirror and only seen his head up. When I glanced back he had ice cream everywhere. I pulled over and laughed when I seen half the ice cream cone on one side, the other half on the other side and the ice cream between his legs UNDER the buckle. It was in every crevice on the carseat and buckles. After attacking Grandpa with a dry erase marker, grandpa got her back with a mark on her nose and one on her chin. She looked in the mirror before her bath and complained "Look what Grandpa did!"
Emma asked if she could change Sean. She said "Can we pretend that I own him" I told her "sure You can change his diaper, you take this part and make sure it is under his bottom, be fast or you could be wet on" She decided she wasn't ready to change the diaper. A little while later he pooped in his diaper. I said "this is your turn to change him" She said "no I am too young to know how to do that"
Washing her legs up in the bathtub she said "Look at all this hair on my legs, soon they will look like my daddy's!"
Pretending to be Aunt Cassie, she said she had to color this woman's hair pink. She mimicked her pretty good, right through the cigerette break! Cassie, she said you better quit, she said she tells you but you don't listen!
Emma told her mother "New mexico is where old people live... Maybe Grandma Shari should move there" I told her she has lots of grandma's and I am the YOUNGEST!"
Deciding on which movie to watch, I reminded Emma that Scooby doo seems to give her nightmares. She said "she dreamed she died and that came from her dad dying.. so see not all the bad dreams is caused by Scooby doo!" She still chose Toy Story instead of Scooby Doo.
Seeing us laugh at things she was doing, she told us not to laugh with our mouths. I said "How can you laugh if not with your mouth?" She immeditantly answered "with your eyes"

"Brianna is helping out with Bible school on Thursday and Friday so she will stay over night on Thursday. Since I always sleep in the pink bedroom with Emma, when I told Emma that mommy will be staying here Thursday night she informed me that Mommy is just gonna have to sleep in with Grandpa!"

"After having Emma here all week for Bible school, my house seems so quiet. I did get a good nap in after a week of 10 to 12 preschoolers. Emma talked about Hector the Protector from the skits, I asked which one Hector was and she answered "the one who looks like reverand Dave." I always have so many laughs with her. I get to watch Sean for a bit tomorrow :-)"

"Emma and Bailey were making Peanut butter sandwiches for lunch. Emma was having trouble spreading the peanut butter so I helped her a little. She said "Sometimes this is hard for little kids." then she said in the sweetest little voice "Grandma, you wil always be a kid to me""

"I was vacuuming the bathroom with the hose on my vacuum since it is the best way to pick up hair... and socks! I sucked up one of Emma's socks and the excitement and drama began. "OH NO... I was going to wear those socks at Christmas, but now I can't!" I will get it out Emma.. and I did. Then as I put it in the dirty clothes she said "I was going to wear them today but I guess I can't" I said "they were dirty anyway" She replied "Well they are REALLY DIRTY now!"...lol"
"Yesterday going to Belle Emma was pointing things out along the highway. I said "Emma I can't look right now, lots of motorcycles are on the road and they are harder to see then cars because they aren't as big and I don't want to hurt one of them. After that she would say "Oh look at that" and I would look and she would say "OH no grandma, don't look, keep your eyes on the road!""
"Seeing Emma's lunch plate on the floor I asked her if she let Tara eat her lunch. She said "No, I ate all my strawberries and most of my sandwich, I just let her have the sandwich peels" She meant crusts...lol"

"Watching Zoboomafoo teach about Armadillos, how they roll into a ball and how they run fast and how they can blow up their stomach to swim fast, Emma informed me "And if they drown, they turn into a football!"

"Emma gave me hugs and kisses for my birthday this morning. She said we can do whatever I want to for my birthday like going and getting a toy or going to the park and we can eat whatever I want to eat for my birthday. I said "oh good, green beans" She said "no not green beans but maybe ice cream""
"Emma was worried about me not getting presents for my birthday and wanted to get me one so I gave her $10 and took her to the drug store. I told Vickie what she wanted to do and I waited outside for Emma to finish shopping (Small towns where you know the clerk you can do that). She said "it is a surprise, I can't tell you what it is" Then she added "but I will tell you, one you can wash your hands with and the other you can write on"....lol"
"I got a costume catalog in the mail today and gave it to Emma telling her it was her mail. She can sit and go through that for hours, showing me all her favorites. I seen an adult witch costume in there and said "oh look, that looks like grandma in the mornings!" Emma looked at it really close and said "Yep!" hmmmphh she did tell me she was teasing though."

"I had a week of laughs and hugs and kisses with Emmalyne. She had us laughing at her sweet ways and odd outlooks on life. Last night she entertained us by dancing and singing on the flatbed trailer Kevin brought home. It made a perfect stage for her and the world was her audience. "Emmaisims are coming fast and furious today after not seeing Emma for a couple weekends. On the way over to my house she was telling me about camping with Grandma Marla. She had a great time even though she didn't sleep well, she said Grandma Marla snored like this... then proceeded to show me.... almost as bad as Grandpa!"
She was trying to decide if she wanted this gumball or ice cream and the gumball won out.. until she dropped it on the floor. She picked it up and said "oh I guess I will have ice cream instead"
She was coloring in her color book and went to get something. As she walked away she asked me to "stop it until she gets back". I thought when she put the color down it stopped it automatically...

"I love watching Ki Lan with Emma. Today one of the friends was jealous because he wasn't as big as the new elephant friend. I asked Emma why he was mad. She said he was "infrusted". The lesson is what is special about each one so I asked Emma what made her so special. She answered "Because I love my grandma so much!" Aww that is special."
"Emma was sitting in the kitchen waiting for her pizza to get done. All the sudden she said "Oh no, my ears are talking again!" I asked what they were saying and she answered "Is my pizza done yet??" lol"

"Emma called yesterday to tell me how preschool went. I asked her what she learned and she said that her teacher was teaching them not to hit or bite. I asked if someone was hitting or biting and she said "no, she was just teaching us not to" Then she said "Grandma, am I making you dizzy?" I asked what she was doing to make me dizzy. She answered "I am shaking the phone"....lol"

I asked her how she is stopping them she answered "They keep killing my ventions so I don't know how. The only one they can't kill is one my dad vented" Love that little ones imagination."

§ Going into KMart today Emma noticed a dead butterfly on the sidewalk. She bent down to check it out and she decided it needed help. I told her that it was already gone and we couldn't help it and we went inside. She was upset telling me sheseen the wings move and it needed help. Finally she said "Grandma, it is one of God's Creatures and we are suppose to love and care for ALL God's creatures, so we need to help the butterfly!" Can't argue with that so we went out and checked the butterfly and when we determend that it was indeed dead, we had to move it to a place it wouldn't be stepped on. A guy who was collecting donations for the Knights, witnessed this and brought her over 2 tootsie rolls for such a nice burial. Seen the wings move and it needed help. She finally told me “Grandma, this is one of God’s creatures and we are suppose to love and care for ALL God’s Creatures, so we need to help the butterfly!” Can’t argue with that so we went out to check on the butterfly and when we determined it to be dead, we had to move it to a place where it wouldn’t be stepped on. Emma has decided that Cocoa, our cat, is a vampire cat or zombie kitty. Makes sense, she stares at you and hisses and is cranky and shows her teeth a lot.

"Emma had a balloon which she had me blow up for her. When she was suppose to be going to sleep she went into my sewing room. When I was tucking her back into bed she sadly told me "My balloon popped" I asked how that happened and she answered "Well, I was in your sewing room and seen this pointy thing.... well, I wanted to see what would happen if...." "Emma and Brianna stopped by last night to drop off Emma's birthday cake for the party today. Emma is really excited over her presents. She figured out one was a DVD by saying "Is this a Video or is it a punch in the arm?" I told her it was a punch in the arm. She really wanted to guess the presents but when I would say I was going to give her hints she would plug her ears. She says she hopes that it is the Barbie Charm school DVD (which it is) but I told her that it was a baby DVD with Elmo...lol Such excitement!"

"Emma was being wild when she first got here. I finally asked if she had to much sugar today and she answered "No, I just didn't get enough of you" lol she always makes me feel so special!"
"I could hear Emma playing with stuff in my bedroom and soon she came out and asked "Grandma, do I smell good?" I could really smell her so I asked how much perfume she put on and wasn't quite prepared for her answer "All of them!" Luckly she sprayed it on her shirt so it only took changing a shirt rather then having to bath so early."

"Yesterday coming home from Rapid City, Emma was talking away in the back seat. She then asked what game we could play so I suggested the quiet game where we see who can go longest without talking. Always up for the challenge she quieted right down (to my surprise, so did Brianna) Soon Emma was covering her mouth and giggling and trying not to talk. This went on for a few miles and then she finally says "Ok you win!" lol"

"When I took Emma back to her mom in Hulett she gave me directions how to get to the rodeo bar where we were meeting Brianna (her family owns the bar). She said "go straight on this road until you get to the arrow pointing right and turn there. Then you will see a big brown building that has a poster on it that says 'BAR' and that is it" To get to grandma Neils she said you go straight and turn left and when you see the big white house with plants hanging from the roof, that is her house" lol. I knew how to get to them, just wanted to see how she explains it. She did well on the description."

"Spent yesterday with Brianna and Emma visiting Pam, Shelby, Aiden and September. I really wanted to hold September but with my cold I didn't dare. Emma had me laughing like always. Seeing a cardboard cutout in a window at the tire place, she said "grandma, someone is watching us" I said "oh yes" She said "Is it a real person or a skeleton?" lol I told her it was a cardboard cutout and she was so relieved. Halloween seemed to scare her a little more then usual this year."

"‎"Grandma, what if Cocoa really IS a vampire cat?" Emma was worrying. I told her that I didn't think Cocoa could be a vampire cat, she likes laying in the sun way to much!" What a sigh of relief Emma had at that..lol. She thinks Cocoa is a vampire cat because Cocoa hisses like one whenever someone comes close to her. I keep telling Emma it is because Cocoa is old and doesn't feel really good anymore."

Emma loved staying in the "hometel" She slept with me and when she was sleeping across the bed, I moved her back around. She asked "who's touching me?!!" I laughed and said "grandma is" She then wanted to cuddle. So sweet. We had fun reading the new I Spy Books and singing Close to you... neither of us are very good in tune.
§ Emma asked where we are going and I said "aunt Terri's then over to Laura's." She asked where Terri lives and I told her where we were when we came into town. She asked where Laura lives and I said I didn't know for sure. She asked who Laura lives with.aura lives with and I said she has her own house, she lives by herself. Emma was very concerned with this information "Doesn't she get lonely?" I said if she does she probably goes to see her mommy. Emma then asked "who's her mommy?" lol. Trying to get this family tree is pretty confusin I told her that Laura has her own house so she doesn’t live with anyone. Emma was very concerned with this idea and asked “doesn’t she ever get lonely?” I said if she does, I am sure she goes over to her mommy’s house. She then asked “who’s her mommy?” This family tree is pretty confusing.
Over at Terri's we were looking at the pictures on the wall. Emma, seeing a picture of Grandma Lois said "That's YOUR grandma, why does Terri have a picture of her on her wall?" I said "well, it is Terri's grandma too" She knew we were sisters but didn't realize that I had to share my grandma Lois with her too!

"I got such a kick out of the kids today. We went into a sports shop at the mall and Sean started yelling out "Broncos!" every time he seen any Bronco memorabilia. He sure seemed to enjoy the shopping trip. Emma was a trooper, braving Wal-Mart at 10 pm and not getting back to the motel until 1:30am and up and on our way to Rapid by 7am. She did very well but was so worn out by 4pm she said "Can't we just be done and go home?" Aww poor little one."

Emma never fails to come up with something to pray for. This time was no different. She raised her hand and when called on she said "I LOVE glitter!” Only in our church do we pray and give thanks for glitter. It reminds us to give thanks for the messy things in life that gives us a little sparkle.
§ The girls were back in the bedroom playing with the barbies when it was close to the time to go to the church for the program practice. I called back and asked the girls to start picking up the barbies so we can go. Emma soon came out and Brianna asked if the barbies were picked up. Emma started to say yes until Brianna threatened to go back and check. Emma said she just wanted to come out and give her mommy a hug because she missed her. Brianna gave her some hugs and told her she missed her too then sent her back in to help pick up the Barbies. We were surprised when we heard Emma telling Bailey in a very sad voice “Bailey, my mommy doesn’t even want me to hug her anymore” We went back in the bedroom and told Emma that her mommy’s favorite thing in the whole world is to hug on Emma. Brianna picked Emma up and said “I am going to hug you forever now, I will have you tied to me in a big hug and never ever put you down” This made Emma giggle. The silly girl.

Emma and Bailey were talking about Justin Beber, Bailey said she was Justins #1 fan. Emma wasn't going to be left out, she said "well I am Justin's #5 fan!"
Walking up to Teri's house today Emma asked me if her dogs were home. I told her probably. She then asked if the little gray one is home too. I asked which dog. She said “you know the gray one which growls like a cat?”
When we were at Teri’s I mentioned we were just going to have frozen pizza for supper. Emma then asked “You mean you aren’t even going to COOK it?”
Going to Pine Haven to see Santa, Emma said she was a little nervous. I asked why she would be nervous when she already seen him 4 or 5 times this year. She said “Yes, but every time I see him he asks who I am!”
After the candle lighting service for Blue Christmas in which you light candles for those loved ones who have passed. Emma mentioned how she hoped his neck felt better soon. Then she said “maybe we should have lit a candle for Uncle Frank too”

"Emma was so excited yesterday as Kevin brought in the mail and it was full of Christmas cards. She said "How do you know so many people?" Each one she would open she would say "do you know this person?" lol Thank you Ronda and Sabrina for the wonderful cards. I always put the cards up on my computer room door so that everyone can see them when they come into the house. My door is getting full, I love it! "

"I called Brianna, who is still in Rapid City to warn her that there is no necessary travel on the interstate. She said they had to come home tonight and they would be ok. Emma wanted to talk to me and when she got on she said "Grandma, stop worrying, we will be ok on the roads!" I wish I was as sure as they seem to be. I told Emma I can't stop worrying because I love them."

" The kids were so excited tonight, it was fun to watch. After they all left things seemed so quiet. Brianna took Emma to see the Live Nativity Scene in Spearfish tonight. Afterwards Emma had to call me and tell me about it. She was so excited. Told me they had donkeys and sheep and a cow and the cow licked her and they had a baby Jesus, but it wasn't a live baby Jesus. Then she said there were eggs, dinosaur eggs! She said they had turtle doves but they were just regular doves because they didn’t look like a turtle. I am so glad they went to this.

"There has to be something said about Mother's intutition. Emma had a couple moles removed from her head and while I wouldn't have worried about them much, Brianna decided she thought they needed checked. They turned out to have precancerous cells. Luckly Brianna took her in, they got it all and now she just needs yearly checks. Great parenting Brianna! Emma is lucky to have a alert mom like you."

I have decided that Emma really needs a camera crew following her around because there is no way I will ever remember all the funny things she did and said this weekend. Here are some of the end of the year Emmaisims for you....Seeing the new flat screen in the livingroom she was impressed and a bit jealous. "My mom has a flat screen and my grandma Marla has TWO flat screens but I only have a square screen!" I said "Doesn't Grandma Marla share since she has two?" She said "Yes she shares but I can't take them to my bedroom, I only get an old square screen there!" Then she suggest a flat screen for her birthday when she turns 6. lol Isn't she a bit young to be so picky about a TV.Emma wanted Taco's for dinner tonight. I told her that we didn't have any soft shells but we had the hard shells, would she eat those? She told me "That's ok Grandma, I really like the soft shells but the hard shells... well... I really like the soft shells" lol Kevin ran to the store to buy soft shells for her. After dinner Kevin was sitting on the floor using the ottoman as a back rest. Emma climbed up on his shoulders and would tell him to lean forward and he would lean way down almost dumping her off on her head. She would then tell him "back.. back" and he would lean way back dumping her off on the ottoman. Finally after being told many times "forward" and "back" Kevin said "Forward.. back... forward... back, just what do you want me to do?" Emma didn't miss a beat when she said "I want you to just go to bed!" Kevin and Emma were going on a hunt for "clues" around the dark house using a flashlight. There was some little black spot on the kitchen floor which she was inspecting for a clue and announced "I don't know what that is but I am NOT going to touch it!" Watching the NBC East coast network for the New Years special. I told her we are going to watch the ball drop. I wasn't sure if that was what Justin Beiber was on or not but she was so excited to hear he might be on, she screamed "Justin wants me to go on stage with him!" Then she told me "Maybe you should put my hair up in a pretty pony tail so when he sees me, I will look pretty" She looked at me surprised when I explained that if he is on TV he can't see her through it. I guess that is what you get watching the sprout station and have them talking to you right through the TV. Emma was waiting to see if Justin Beiber was going to be on TV when he was on an advertisiment. She preceeded Kissing the TV Screen, telling me she is going to marry Justin. I said "what about Jeremy" (her other crush) She said she was going to marry him too. Looking forward to Communion Sunday tomorrow, she asked Grandpa if he wanted to go with us to Church. She explained Communion this way... She said "Grandpa, they give you juice but pretend it is blood because Jesus Christ died for us and they give you bread for his body but you can't drink and eat it right away, you have to wait until it is time then you can eat and drink it" After watching the ball drop at 10pm Mt time, I was tucking her in and told her that when we wake up in the morning it will be a new year. She said "Another new year? Again?" I said "no it will be 2012" She said "but we seen the ball drop and turn to 2012 already" I had to explain how in NY it is already midnight and 2012 but it will be a couple hours for it to be 2012 here. She is pretty confused by it all.I am sure 2012 will be full of Emmaisims to make us laugh. Can't wait to see what funny things she comes up with this new year.
While playing with the doll house, Emma's girl doll is sick. I said "mommy better give her some medicine" Emma replied "I am out of the medicine and I can only get it in Cargo" "Cargo?" I asked. Emma explained "yes, you know where that boy who came to our house is from.. Cargo... hmm maybe it is Sure Cargo" I laughed and asked "Chicago?" She said "Yea, that's it!"Getting ready to wrestle with grandpa, he started going towards her. She said “No grandpa, we have to warm up first.” She started doing Jumping jacks. Then they wrestled and Grandpa pinned her to the floor. She said “yeah! I won! This kind of wrestling, the one on the bottom wins!” Afterwards she had to show grandpa her muscles. She held her arm up and I asked where her muscle is. She pointed to her elbow saying “see how big it is?”"

· Oh for the fun of grandkids. I have Emma and Sean tonight (Bailey is with her great grandparents in Buffalo) and they have been so much fun and loads of laughs. Sean started breaking up his stick of cheese and counted to 5 while doing it. I was shocked since he only turned 2 on December 20th. All I could say is "wow!" Cassie and Frank came over. Cassie was cutting Grandma Mert's hair and Sean was helping by making sure her hair (and everything else in close range) was sprayed with the water bottle. Afterwards Cassie let him have the comb. He started combing his hair and then to Cassie's dismay, Tara's hair. Cassie wasn't about to tell him not to comb the dog's hair with it so I told him "only people's hair" Afterwards he asked for her scissors... Watch out Skye, he wants to cut hair. He had the play scissors cutting the doll's hair shortly after.Emma and Cassie was telling each other Knock Knock jokes. Cassie ended up looking some up online on her phone. She had one with Knock Knock.. who's there?... Pencil.. pencil who?.... pencil will fall down if you don't wear a belt! Emma looked at Cassie and said "pencils don't wear pants!" lol I gave Sean a bath and then told Sean he can mess around with Grandpa while I give Emma her bath. Emma ran out to the kitchen and told Grandpa "I want to mess around with you too" Grandpa asked her what she wanted to do and she wanted him to swing her around by her feet. Sean thought that looked fun so I ended up swinging him a little by his feet too. When it was time for Emma's bath Sean told Grandpa "Swing!"There is a noticeable difference between boys and girls. Emma has had the Animal Train since her first Christmas back in 2006 and she always played nice with it. Sean got it out tonight and proceeded to make it roll down the steps from the living room. He would then laugh as it was the funniest thing he ever saw. We watched him and Emma do that for quite a while... silly kids.Tucking the kids into bed, they each like to cuddle a stuffed animal. I couldn't find Sean's big Red dog so I gave him a cuddly orange moose. He held it, looking at it and said "Uh oh" I said "uh oh what?" Looking at it he said "gun!" Then pointed his fingers like a gun at it and said "boom" Yep, he is a real Wyoming boy, born with that hunting gene.Sean wasn't wanting to settle down to sleep very well so I took him out to the living room and rock him. He still tried to figure out how to get out of going to sleep, he first asked for "grandpa" I said "he is sleeping" He said "grandma mert?" I said "she is at her house sleeping" He thought about it a few minutes and said "Momma, daddy?" I said "they are at your house sleeping" He said "Home?" He did settle down and go to sleep not long after that.Emma is excited to go try on her flower girl dress tomorrow. She is the flower girl for Brad Hooper and Amanda Stoddard next weekend. I asked what color it is and she thought about it a minute and said "White" Taking both of them to Sunday School and Church tomorrow will give me more Emmaisims and Seanisms to share, I am sure...
· Oh and then when I told Cassie how I told Sean we would send the little video of him to his mom and to Cassie, Sean said "frank!" Cassie looked at Sean and said "Hey, do you think Frank is cooler then me?!" Emma said "Sean say yes!" lol

Emma was watching the Wizards of Waverely Place. The girl who plays Teddie on Good luck Charlie was the vampire on Wizards. I said "isn't that Teddie?" Emma said "No that is the vampire who is Justin's girlfriend" I said "I am sure that is Teddie on Good luck Charlie" Emma insisted it wasn't because she seen this show before..lol She doesn't get the concept that the actress can actually be on more then one show at a time. She also wasn’t impressed when I told her that Alex on waverely Place is really Justin Beiber’s girl friend and he asked her to marry him. She growled at me and I told her “it’s ok Emma, when you grow up some handsome boy, your age will fall in love with you and ask you to be his wife” She said “ewww grandma” and growled at me again

"Watching Jessie with Emma, we laughed as Jessie dumped some guy down the garbage shoot and appoligized then sent cookies down for him. She then dumped Milk down it and Emma thought that was crazy. I said "well you can't have cookies without milk you know" She said "yes you can Grandma, I had cookies at church today without milk!" Ok she has me there..lol"

"Went to see Cassie today. Emma was with her and was her helper. While Cassie was downstairs mixing colors Emma came up with a cape and had to put it around me but she wasn't tall enough to reach up to put it around my neck so she crawled up on my lap and that didn't work so she handed it to me and stood behind me to hook it together. Then after starting the color, Cassie had to run to downstairs to get Emma some Ketchup. Emma called after her "which color are you on Cassie, I will keep it going for you" I suggested she waits until she has a beauty license to take over for Aunt Cassie on the coloring."

"Brad and Amanda's wedding was beautiful. Amanda is so beautiful and in her wedding dress there wasn't a fairer princess in all the land (well, maybe Emmalyne but I have a bit of Bias there). Emma seems to have this flower girl stuff down, I didn't hear it but a lady who was sitting with us at the dinner was saying Emma was directing the groomsmen on who needs to go off the stage with which bridesmaid. I asked Emma what her favorite part of the wedding was and she said "the kiss" lol she has come a long ways from "oh grandma, they kissed!! I was SOOO embarrassed for them, kissing in front of ALL those people!" after the wedding she went to last summer."

"While cleaning out cupboards I came across a neck massager that one of the kids bought me years ago. Emma wanted to play with it so I put new batteries in and she was giving grandpa and me back massages. She said "Tara (the dog) is next" I said "I am not sure she would stay still for it." Emma insisted "Look at her watching me looking like she really wants a back massage too" Sure enough, Tara loved it and even would turn around for her to get the other side too...lol"

"Emma just came in and gave me a big big hug and said "You're too good for me" I said "no one is too good for you, you deserve the best!" She said "hmm.. will you play a game with me?" So off already to play Slap Jack with my sweet, sweet girl!"
· Playing Slapjack Emma slapped at a Queen. She said "Oh I was just practicing!" Then she was telling me about a blanket that goes on the whole body and how we should get them for Big Bailey (my 12 year old niece) to keep her warm. Then she saw the commercial while we were playing go fish, or as she calls it 'gold fish' and it was Forever Lazy wear. She said "Oh they say it is for 'old bodies' guess maybe we should get it for you instead!" It actually said "cold bodies" I believe but I was laughing so hard I couldn't correct it. Then playing the go fish which is geramimals color fish. She had two cards in her hands and said "oh, now I just have the ones like Broncos!" Now she wants me to go play doll house with her. I told her we had to dress first and she started blinking her eyes at me. I said "no you need to be dressed first" then blinked my eyes at her. She said "It doesn't work on me but it worked on you that one time so I know it works on you"...lol What a funny kid.
· Cassie came over for a while and she and Emma made some monkey bread for sunday school tomorrow. My oven is a mess but I don't mind, they had a great time. Had a tea party after. Emma came up to me and very seriously said "I have a secret that I have been keeping from you" I asked what it was and she said "Bailey and I are really secret spies!" lol that kid and her imagination! I told the people who were visiting while waiting for Kevin to get home what she said and she got all mad and said she was going to call police on me. When I went down to the kitchen a minute later there was a guy pulled over in the business next doors parking lot. I said "Oh Emma, look, the police is here for me!" Her look was so funny.

Emma is in the bath. As I was washing her hair and rinsing it she informed me "don't you know, I am a swimming mermaid, not a fish stick!"
Emma was showing me her karate moves. I asked her how she learned to do that she answered "I looked it up on the internet"
Watching a woolie Mammoth on TV she informed me "I know how to kill a holy Mamma" You kick it in the arm and tie it's nose in a knot."

"On the way to Spearfish to take Emma to ET, I was singing "I wonder wonder wonder, who wrote the book of love" Emma had the answer for me, she simply said "God did!" Love that little girl. Brianna met us over there and took her home, now my house seems so quiet and lonely.Emma loved ET, once it ended. She wasn't sure about it when ET was dying and she hid her face in me and was ready to cry when I said "Watch what happens!" Afterwards she said "That is the best movie EVER!!" She is so much like her daddy."

"lol I left Emma in the living room watching Scooby Doo and came down here for a few minutes. The phone rings and I answer it. It was Emma (who had my cell phone) "Grandma, I'm hungry" lol So funny"
"We all hear how you should eat more seafood because of the health benefits, Cassie took this to heart with Emma so she fixed her Spongebob Mac and Cheese... Does that count?"
"Emma was helping me cut up sirloin steak for steak fingers. "What kind of meat is this, Grandma?" "it is beef" "is that blood inside there?" "yes" "We are going to eat RAW blood???" "no, that is why we cook it, so there is no more blood in it" "Where did we get the beef?" "well, Emma, remember those two cows grandpa had out on the ranch? This is the last of those" "YOU MEAN HE KILLED THEM???" "yes, we were raising them for meat" "awww that is sad" "yes, but they sure taste good!" That she agreed with. Then I had to laugh as we were breading the strips "Grandma, I think this is from the tail" lol"

· On our way over to Sturgis today, Emma said she saw a "balded eagle" I asked her how she knew it was a balded eagle, she answered "I saw it's white butt"Only Emma can get her Grandpa Kevin to eat at McDonalds..lolDriving down the road in Sturgis, Emma saw a place she thought looked really fun and said we should go to... the place? Dick and Jane’s Naughty Spot Stopped at a stoplight the tractor trailer next to us moved forward a little, Confused Emma asked "Are we going backwards?"Talking about Grandpa Don, I mentioned That grandpa Kevin is going to see his dad. Emma asked "who's his dad?" lol She still gets things confused with all the grandmas and grandpas.Sitting next to a woman in the waiting room, Emma informed her that her grandma Shari is old. The lady looked at me and said "She doesn't look to old to me" Emma replied "She is, she is 81 years old!" I never looked better for my age...lol

"Kylee picked out a movie about a stray dog who is befriended by Jesus and goes through Jesus dying on the cross. Kylee exclaimed "Jesus is in my heart, right here at the bottom" Emma replied "Jesus is at the very tip top of my heart" I love a child's insight when it comes to life and afterlife."
"Brianna and Emma stopped over and Emma wasn't too happy about not getting to stay but I said that she would have to miss Isabella's birthday party and she decided that sounded even more fun. She said she hoped that Isabella's birthday party is gonna be at the bowling isle!"
