Singing Jesus loves me

Emma gets her singing abilities from her Grandma Shari. To me it is the most beautiful voice in the world!

Trip to North Carolina

June 7, 2010

Well I am not doing very well on writing in here as much as I should and I am missing out on recording so many funny little things she has done or said. Let’s see if I can recap some of it via all my Facebook status’s on my favorite little subject…

April 5: Emma is on a roll tonight. Looking at herself in the Mirror before going in the bath she said "I have boobies!.. they are boy boobies though... I have boobies like my DADDY!"

Then when I was laying with her in bed watching Nutcracker, I taped for her a couple years ago, she saw the commercials talking about Christmas. She got really excited and I had to tell her that Christmas won't be until after Sean turns 1 years old... he will probably be walking by then. I reminded her it will be a while cuz he can't sit up by himself yet let alone crawl. She let out a "Waaaa" and said "He sure does know how to do that well though!" lol Sean doesn't cry much that I ever heard but he lets out a squeal when he gets frustrated when he wants something and can't get his hands to grab it.

April 6: Took 3 times but Emma figured out why you don't catch bubbles with your tongue!

April 10: Emma is at the airport picking up her Great Grandma Neil. She called me so excited telling me that they bought Grandma Neil a surprise. I asked what it was and she said "If I tell you, it won't be a surprise!" lol that is what i told her when she wanted to know what I brought her back from shopping Wednesday.

April 17: Don't know what she said but when it is followed by "Oops, I said W-h-a-t" you have to laugh because you know she is trying to spell a bad word...lmao

April 19: When I tried singing a song with Emma she told me I was copying her. I asked her where she got that attitude from. She said her daddy. I said "I don't think so" and she said "yes sir, he always says those naughty words!" Oops daddy, better not be saying those naughty words anymore!

April 20: Hopes the sun will come out so Emma and I can spend the day outside before she goes back home. Had a wonderful day yesterday with Cassie celebrating her birthday. Emma must have had a dream about her because she said "Cassie" last night while sleeping. Now cuddle time, it seems :-) I love being Grandma
How heartbreaking is it when taking Emma back to her mommy she is about in tears and when I ask what is wrong she says "I wish my daddy could still live with my mommy"... so do I little one, so do I.

April 21: When we went to Gillette for Cassie's birthday I stopped at the Flying J to get gas. Emma, looking at the pump said "Grandma, I think we are on the wrong side, this one is for airplanes!" (Flying J’s logo has a plane on it)

April 24: Emma's favorite game to play is to go into her castle and have me announce her by saying "My Loyal Subjects.. I would like to present Princess Snow White" Tonight she told me I was going to be queen and grandpa was going to be king. I said "grandpa is more of a royal pain then King" Emma called him her royal pain the rest of the night..

May 3: Emma was trying to teach me Dora's grandma's name Rosia. She didn't think I was pronouncing it right so she spelled it out for me "You know W-Y-X-P... Rosia!"

May 9: The minister asked "What is a Mom good for?" Emma answered without hesitation "When you get hurt, you run to mommy and she kisses it all better"

May 15: Bailey had her birthday party at the Moorcroft Bowling alley. Emma was bowling in her socks and slipped and fell, hitting her chin on her bowling ball. She split it open and we made a trip to the ER, getting 5 stitches in her little chin. It was heartbreaking having her scream like she was and me being the one to hold her down. Her mommy was in Rapid City and her daddy took the cowards way out and left the room! I wouldn’t have left her side even had they been there though. She did very well with it once it was over and didn’t even need any pain killers afterwards.

May 16: Bed time talks is the best. Last night Emma was telling me about Cassie marrying Frank. She said it "ewww ... yuck, 'sisdusking'.. I'm never getting married..nope nope nope.. No way Jose' ... never gonna get married, not even when I become a daddy! Never never never!" I said "but you won't ever be a daddy cuz you'...re a girl" She said "Not even when I am a mommy, nope nope nope" I said "but you are suppose to be married before becoming a mommy" She thought and said "Ok .. I will.. but not now.. when I get bigger."

May 17: Emma went on her first plane ride to North Carolina for her uncle Joe’s graduation. They were stuck in the Atlanta Airport for quite a while and she talked with me on the phone telling me how Grandma Marla is sleeping in the airport. She loved the trip over. I had told her she was going on an adventure. She said “like Diego?” I said “yes” and she thought of all the wild animals and said “No I don’t think I want to go on one like that”

May 21: Jordan had a nice graduation and I spent the day with my two favorite little granddaughters. We went shopping then they rode home with me. They were busy but so fun. Emma really likes saying in the "hometell"..

May 24: "Grandma, you're a good dinner cooker" was so sweet.. then in a move I think was a hint to her grandpa she told him "And grandpa, you're a good ice cream maker!" ...lol I think that was a ploy to get him to make Chocolate shakes with her again.

May 25: Last day of Sunday School and had a special presentation during service. Emma received a perfect attendance certificate and will be getting a pin when they come in. She sang Jesus Loves Me for church with the other children, including the sign language. Jordan surprised her by coming. When she seen him she yelled “DADDY!” She was so excited!

May 31: Had to laugh, Emma has been dancing around singing "don't you wish your girlfriend is hot like me" and her daddy said "I don't think that is very appropriate for her to do that" I pointed out that this is coming from my child who was 3 or 4 and "Swwiinng-ing" the girls!

June 6: Emma's first time to participate in Communion today. I had explained it all to her before we went and after she remarked "You're right Grandma, I think that juice had Jesus’ blood in it... I saw some red!"
Brianna and I took Emma to see Shriek Forever. Emma thought it was pretty funny. She settled herself between Brianna and me, then moved my drink between her and me, her mom’s drink was between them. She then announced “there we are all set up!” Popcorn, drinks, booster seat.. Would have been perfect for her if she didn’t have to keep quiet.
She also rode in Grandpa’s back hoe for the first time. She was a bit nervous and told me it was a little scary because it went “KaBOOM KaBOOM”
She has such a mature understanding of things and a good ability of communication. She told her dad “It’s sucks that you and mommy can’t live together anymore… but it is ok because I can still love you both”. She does have a hard time with it and acts up more then she use to when she feels out of control with having to go from one place to the other. She won’t tell her daddy goodbye because she doesn’t want him to go. I just wish I could make her world whole again.
