Emma is back in grandma’s arms, such a nice feeling. She had a wonderful time in Colorado at the family reunion and the Denver Zoo. Brianna said she loved all the attention from everyone and she also liked trying to eat rocks, dirt and pine needles. She liked having her baths outside in a big tote and all the sweets that everyone was willing to feed her.



At the zoo they said she liked the giraffes best and would giggle at them as she watched. She didn’t get to see the lion, which is sad since it is one of her favorite stuffed toys.



She liked being in the motel rooms and all the new things they did. She didn’t even do to bad with being in the car so much, probably because Grandma Neil was sitting with her and feeding her juice and donut holes.



I was very impressed on how well Brianna did on planning and putting on the family reunion. She has a natural talent for it. She planned in a Hawaiian day and different games, a talent show and much more entertainment for it. She will be a great Girl Scout leader when Emma is older… if Emma is interested in scouts.



When she got back she went swimming in the small pool I bought for her. She loved it even though it was pretty cold water. She has a little mechanical fish that she would chase around the pool. It was so cute.



Jordan shot off fire works on the night of the 3rd. She didn’t like that very well and would cry and hide her face when one went off. I took her inside and rocked her, first time we had a chance to since they got back from Colorado. She really enjoyed that and when Brianna came in to tell her it was time to go, she would hide her face against me and peek out at Brianna and giggle. I think she thought Mommy couldn’t see her since she couldn’t see mommy and that she was getting away with hiding from her. Jordan went to pick her up out of my arms then and she pushed his hands away and said “DON’T!” just as plain as can be. They left her with me while they packed everything in the car and then came back for her. She told me “hug” and I gave her a big hug and she went to Brianna without a fuss.



She is growing so fast. We bought her a swimming suit to keep here at grandma’s house in a size 12 months but had to take it back for a 18 month size. She also has 6 teeth now, 4 on the top and 2 on the bottom, with the new teeth she found that she can get a good grip on the baby spoons we feed her with, so with every bite she holds onto the spoon with her teeth and thinks it is a great game. She also likes to grind her teeth together to make a different sound… and her mother cringe.
My little grandma’s girl is growing up so fast, less then 3 months until her first birthday.
