Looking for a pink cowboy hat for parade... Emma decides to try on boots too!
Queen of the hillI can't believe I didn't write more in a whole month! Emma is growing up so fast.
Emma loves the warm weather even though we have had a lot more rain then sunshine so far. She wants to be outside playing in the big sand pile Grandpa Kevin fixed up for her. He made a small pile first and she said "grandpa you gave me too much dirt" So when she was gone he put a big pile out there. When she came over next she exclaimed "Oh all this for ME? You give this to me?" She loves it. She would fill buckets and say "here horsey horsey" . She climbs it, slides down it and gets soo dirty in it. She also loves the "pink-a-spur" which is what she calls sprinkler. If she sees the sprinkler going, she is in the middle of it, fully dressed and all.
Grandma Neil wrecked her car on Memorial day. She is doing well but has 4 broken ribs and a punctured lung. Poor Emma, when she heard that Neil wrecked her car said "my grandma Neil didn't die did she?" What a think for a two year old even think. Emma told me "grandma neil broke her car, it's sad" I said "yes but she can get a new car.. I am happy Grandma Neil is ok" She said "yes, I am happy grandma neil is ok too.. now we can still go outside and play!" I don't think grandma Neil is going to be in much shape to play outside for a while.
Jarrod and Skye are getting married June 27th in the Big Horn Mountains. Kevin brought in the camper and we have been cleaning it up. Emma loves this and enjoys eating in it, wanting to eat at the "picnic table". I asked her if she was going to stay in the camper with us when we go to the Big Horns. She said "NO I not going to the Big Horns!" I said "sure you are, you and Bailey are going to be flower girls in Jarrod and Skyes wedding there" She said "No.. I not going to Big Horns... I go to the Little Horns!" I can just imagine her thinking of deer horns or something.
Emma's imagination is always in full swing. She sees a picture of a dog in a kennel in a magazine and spends a half hour finding imaginary keys to try to unlock the cage to let the sad doggy out. She will spend hours running in circles chasing ghosts, imaginary babies or acting like a doggy begging for a pat or a scooby snack. She will look sad and say "I have no friends" and then laugh and laugh. She is so intertaining.
Tara stayed at Kevin's parents for a weekend while we were gone. I took Emma with me to pick her up and she asked what Tara was doing at Grandma Eda's. I said "she is helping Grandma Eda plant flowers" Emma laughed and said "Grandma... Tara is a dog, she isn't a lady!"
I took Emma up to Spearfish canyon when we went there for the NECA meeting. She loves the "water fallings" and couldn't believe the huge rocks up on top of the canyon walls. She said "look grandma... look at the rocks" I said yes I see them. She asked "how did they get up there?" Saturday morning I took her into Spearfish to give her back to her parents at WalMart. Later when I asked her what her parents bought her at walmart she very dramatically said "Nothing... They bought me NOTHING!" Her little hands going as emphisis. Later when I was telling Brianna about it she said "you did too get something... you got a frisbee and a pail and shovel" and named off a few other things Emma got. Emma is so funny.
A week or so ago Jordan and Brianna took Emma back through Spearfish canyon and stopped at Bridal falls. Emma told them "My grandma already brought me here to see the water fallings!" She is such a sassy little thing. I sure love her.
